When Opening data has high fluctuation, the chart will look compressed. This mostly happens in Nifty. On those days, looking at Sensex will give a better idea about movements. Mostly Nifty and Sensex have almost same momentum and direction, and Sensex Opening rates are cleaner with less spikes
